Would You Take This Job? — Would hourly pay in the $15–$18 range plus immediate placement be enough for NYC security work, or would you wait for a higher-rate role?

@OP I did a year with Brosnan in Queens — ask the recruiter to show you the site’s ‘post orders’ and confirm who covers breaks, because solo posts at banks or construction sites can go 6+ hours without relief. If you can snag a multi-site float slot, the small differential and variety beat standing eight hours in a mall, but the schedule’s less predictable.

I got bounced from Queens to Staten on an hour’s notice as a ‘floater’ once, and there was no paid travel — so ask if it’s a fixed site… Building on @hperez, also confirm they cover the NYS 8‑hr in‑service and any FDNY certs for construction posts; marble‑floor banks will make you wish you invested in real insoles.
