Weirdest excuse I've heard on the job

Had a guy at an event try to convince me he wasn’t violating the no-drink policy because his soda was ‘just really fizzy water.’ I mean, come on! It’s all about crowd management and keeping people safe, but I have to admit, the creativity was impressive.

I once had someone argue that a shot of vodka was just ‘a really concentrated health drink.’ I had to chuckle a bit, but I just reminded him that our job is to keep everyone safe. Sometimes, you’ve just got to stick to your guns and say no, even when their reasoning is top-notch creativity.

, I totally get it! The other day, someone tried to convince me that their craft beer was ‘just a bold mineral water.’ It drives me nuts how creative folks can get when there’s a policy in place. I mean, we just want to keep things safe at the event, right — have you ever had someone come up with an excuse that’s just left you speechless?.

I had a guy say his energy drink was just ‘supercharged herbal tea.’ :joy: Gotta love the creativity, but rules are rules, right?
