Navigating Entry-Level Cybersecurity Positions

I’ve been searching for entry-level roles in cybersecurity, specifically in threat detection, and it’s been overwhelming. I keep seeing positions that require extensive experience or specific tools that I haven’t even had exposure to. How did you all break into this field, and what advice do you have for standing out without years of experience?

I totally get the struggle with entry-level roles in cybersecurity. I found that volunteering for local cybersecurity events or even participating in Capture The Flag competitions can really make your resume pop. Have you considered looking into those for hands-on experience?
