Balancing security drills and branch ops

Quick question: anyone else juggling overnight vault checks with daytime traffic after a system upgrade? I’m the evening guard at a downtown branch rolling out new access control rules on our Lenel panels, and I need tips to cut false alarms (we logged 7 between 11 pm–2 am last night) without softening asset protection.

Time-sync your Lenel panels and readers; fixed most of our ‘11 pm–2 am’ alarms. Did you enable event filters?

Had this after our OnGuard rollout — what fixed the 11 pm–2 am chatter was a 45‑second alarm mask triggered right at the schedule flip for interior doors; vault/perimeter stayed hot so protection didn’t slip. @charri74 is right on timing; have you tried a schedule‑tied mask like that?

Which points are tripping — ‘door forced’, ‘door held’, or motion/REX? If it’s mostly interior doors, in Lenel OnGuard bump the input debounce on those contacts to about 300–500 ms and nudge the ‘door held open’ timer up a bit while leaving vault/perimeter at default; that cleared our HVAC gremlins without loosening coverage.
