That’s it for this week. If any of these roles sound like they fit what you’re looking for, jump on them quickly. Good luck out there!

I moved from AZ to NV last year and, , learned the hard way that licenses aren’t reciprocal. Before you jump on these real-time posts, check your target state’s guard card requirements and processing times; NASCO keeps links to each state here: https://www.nasco.org/state-security-licensing. Also, for the “remote” gigs, half are command center roles that still want you local, so ask about the location radius up front.

Applied same day since posts are “real-time”; quick phone screens followed. Remote gigs still require wired internet.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‌

With the “critical need” in cities, I’ve landed more OT — ask about shift differentials and uniform reimbursement.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌

I’ve gotten quicker callbacks by sending a one-page “post-ready” sheet with my certs (guard card, CPR/AED, MOAB) and the hours I can cover; if you need CPR fast, the Red Cross online course helps: Red Cross CPR Training. City roles can be solid, but watch for split shifts and unpaid travel between sites — those can turn a good rate into pennies.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌

I’ve had listings disappear mid-apply, , so I call the recruiter the same hour and ask if they’ll cover “Live Scan”/license renewals and mileage between split sites — two companies paid both… If you’re open to relocating like the OP mentions, ask about per diem or a short hotel block, but make sure on-call time is paid or you’ll end up working for free.
